Converting Foreign Video

Why can't I watch the video I got
from England?

No, it's not a nasty plot to keep you from seeing your cousin's wedding. It's because foreign video doesn't work with our VCRs or TVs. (And ours doesn't work with theirs either.) That's why it has to be converted.

Why? Why? Why?

For now, let's just say that they do things differently in other countries. Without going into details here, it basically has to do with the fact that the frequency (cycles per second) of electricity of many foreign countries is different from ours. (Ours is 60 cycles per second, most foreign countries use 50 cycles per second.)

Cycles, Shmykles

The bottom line is that videos need to be converted (copied through a digital conversion machine) to be visible when they come from different countries. We can do that for you at very reasonable prices. And, as with all our video services, we provide the high quality blank tape.

For any one tape:

Up to one hour of video is $25.00
From one to two hours of video is $35.00
Additional video (same tape) is $10.00 per hour.
Additional copies of the same video are 1/2 price.
